In 4-year experiments, potato tubers were planted in rows 25, 30, 35, 40, and 50 cm apart. The distance between potato drills was 62 cm. The experiments proved that closer potato planting gives higher yields of market tuber-seeds from an area unit. Nevertheless, with potato planting at shorter intervals, it is possible to get more than 30% higher reproduction coefficient of potato tuber-seeds.
