In the years 1958-1962, the yielding of spring vetch on medium-heavy soil was tried in mixtures with different botanical and quantitative compositions. After harvesting these mixtures, winter wheat was sown and its yields were weighed. The highest yields were obtained after the vetch was sown alone and after its mixtures with horse beans. The yields were 30-40% higher than after barley sown alone. The addition of cereals (25-50 kg/ha) to the vetch reduced the quality of the stand for winter wheat.

Uprawa kukurydzy w siewach mieszanych w plonie głównym.

The green matter and protein yields of the maize mixtures with sunflower and pulses were tested in experiments carried out on light and heavy soils. The mixtures were cultivated in joint and separate seedings. The highest forage yield of the maize mixture with sunflower was obtained on both types of soil. The addition of pulses gave a considerable increase in protein yield. It was proved that sunflower and field peas should be cultivated in separate seedings.
