The study on the retention and excretion of calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) at different protein levels in feed, has been carried out on five lambs. The age of each four months. The supplement of casein to a diet increased the gains on weight from 121 to 235 g per head daily, but there was no adequate results in the retention Ca and P. The retention of Ca and P in relation to the gains on weight was 2.14 and 0,96% P, respectively. About 9.5% Ca and 4,2% P has been excreted with urea according do the whole amount excreted from the animals. The relation between Ca excreted with urea and with feaces in the lambs is still lower than the adult sheep. The lambs can far better utilize Ca from feed than adults.
