Występowanie kokoryczy drobnej Corydalis pumila na Pomorzu Zachodnim
(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2011) Ziarnek, Krzysztof; Ziarnek, Magdalena; Zakład Botaniki i Ochrony Przyrody, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie; Zakład Botaniki i Ochrony Przyrody, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie
Corydalis pumila is a species rarely observed in Poland, only in north-west part of the land. It was known only from 11 localities in 2001 and in the Polish Red Data Book of Plants the species was recognized as vulnerable in the country. The paper presents 20 new localities of Corydalis pumila in Western Pomerania. The species has very rich populations in the Parsęta river basin. It was observed also on new locality on the Krąpiel river. Survival of the species is dependent on preservation of natural or semi-natural oak-hornbeam forests on the slopes of the valleys. Prospects of such habitat in Western Pomerania may be pretty good thanks to Natura 2000 network.

Nowe stanowisko ostnicy piaskowej Stipa borysthenica i uwagi o jej rozmieszczeniu na Pomorzu Zachodnim
(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2011) Waloch, Piotr; Piotrowska, Julia; Zakład Botaniki i Ochrony Przyrody, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie; Zakład Botaniki i Ochrony Przyrody, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie
Stipa borysthenica is a protected, vulnerable species which appears in a sandy dry grasslands. In Poland it is known from a few stands in the margin zone of the Lower Odra Valley. In 2006 a locality of this species was found in the vinicity of Dolna Odra power station near Gryfino (Western Pomerania, Poland). Stipa borysthenica occurs here in the Spergulo vernalis-Corynephoretum community. The increasing of tufts number from 29 in 2006 to 41 in 2010 indicates good condition of Stipa population. Devastation by people is the biggest threat to population of Stipa borysthenica.

Osobliwe oczko wodne na Pojezierzu Południowo-Ełckim
(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2011) Jasnowska, Janina; Zakład Botaniki i Ochrony Przyrody, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie
The small pond (1.3 ha) in the moraine landscape of Pojezierze Ełckie is characteristic for its natural values, especially floral diversity, indicating the existence of various habitats in the same area. They are: the calciphilous charas community Charetum fragilis, representing EU Habitat Directive oligotrophic and mezotrophic water containers with underwater Chara meadows (code 3140), eutrophic waterlilies Nupharo-Nymphaeetum community and water milfoil community Myriophylletum spicati – representing old river-bed and natural eutrophic water containers with associations from Nymphaeion and Potamion (code 3150). Worth mentioning is also mezotrophic the north water lily community Nymphaeetum candidae, which is under strict protection. In the neighbourhood there are patches of riverside carr Circaeo-Alnetum (code 91EO) and Ficaro-Ulmetum (code 91FO) forests. There are also found other protected animal species. The map of objects’ vegetation with marked sites is presented. The analysis of phytocenoses’ distribution shows, that fertile habitats are connected to eutrophication caused by water flowing down from the crop fields, threatening nature mezotrophic habitats.

    Flora użytków ekologicznych Szczecina
(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2011) Friedrich, Stefan; Zakład Botaniki i Ochrony Przyrody, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie
In six sites of ecological interests in Szczecin there are in total 596 vascular plant species. Dominant in life forms are hemicryptophytes and the lowest participation have chamaephytes. Native species compose the three quarters of flora and among alien species predominate permanently settled ones. Participation of geographic-historical groups decrease in following order: apophytes, spontaneophytes, archeophytes, kenophytes, diaphytes and cultivated plants. Recognised species represent 15 social-ecological groups among which predominate meadow communities. Significant participation have also species of thermophilous oak forests and mesophytic deciduous woods and ruderal communities. The sites of ecological interest are the refuges for 55 protected and endangered species in Western Pomerania and whole Poland. The biggest mutual similarity show the floras of the sites of ecological interest: „Dolina strumienia Grzęziniec”, „Dolina strumieni Skolwinki, Stołczynki i Żółwinki” and „Dolina strumienia Żabiniec”, and the smallest one – „Klucki Ostrów”. The site of ecological interest of the most natural condition is „Klucki Ostrów” and the most changed site of ecological interest under anthropopressure is „Dolina strumienia Żabiniec”. The most valuable object regarding the flora richness and participation of protected and endangered species is SEI „Dolina strumienia Grzęziniec”.
