The study was conducted in the years 1999–2001 on a meadow, where the following fertilizers combinations were used: object control (without fertilizer), NPK mineral fertilization, fertilizing with manure, manure with NPK fertilization, fertilizing the with mushroom’s compost; fertilization with NPK and mushroom’s compost. The aim of this study was to evaluate, the impact of mineral NPK fertilizers manure and mushroom’s compost on the content and uptake of potassium and magnesium by the meadow sword. The mushroom’s compost used in the experiment was characterized by higher content of potassium and less magnesium magnesium than the manure used as a standard. Mushroom’s compost used separately and together with NPK increased on the potassium content in the sward, but dont increased the magnesium content in compare to the alone manure and supplemented with NPK. After taking into account the nutritional needs of the animals, it was also found that in the study sward, potassium content was optimize, but magnesium extremely deficient. The ratio of K : Mg in the meadows hay gathered from the object fertilized with manure including NPK, was much wider than optimal. It was a result of the uptaking by meadow sward too much potassium and inhibition of magnesium uptaking.

The Impact of Cutting and Mulching Grapevine Regent on Yielding and Fruit Quality
(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2013) Ochmian, Ireneusz; Grajkowski, Józef; Chełpiński, Piotr; Strzelecki, Roman; Department of Horticulture, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin; Department of Horticulture, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin; Department of Horticulture, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin; Department of Horticulture, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin
Badania przeprowadzono w latach 2010–2011, w Pracowni Sadownictwa Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie.

W stosunku do zawartości wyjściowej zmalała zawartość cynku, a wzrosła kadmu, miedzi, manganu i niklu rozpuszczalnego w 1 mol · dm–3 HCl.

(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2013) Kutyna, Ignacy; Lachowicz, Grażyna; Malinowska, Katarzyna; Katedra Ochrony i Kształtowania Środowiska, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie; Katedra Ochrony i Kształtowania Środowiska, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie; Zakład Fizjologii Roślin, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie
On the basis of 126 phytosociological relevés taken in the area of the "Krzynka" pit remaining after the exploitation of sand and gravel, vegetation communities were distinguished and their ecological and phytosociological characteristics were carried out. 7 phytocoenoses were found to occur as associations and 3 as communities. On the sandy medium (loose sand and slightly loamy sand) of alkaline reaction, the following phytocoenoses: Corispermo- -Brometum tectorum, Calamagrostietum epigeji, Convolvulo arvensis-Agropyretum repentis and the community of Salix viminalis (vegetation patches situated in the lower layer) are found. The dense medium (heavy loamy sand and clay) in the lower layers of the pit is settled by patches of Poo-Tussilaginetum farfarae and the land form of Phragmitetum australis. The sandy media, but of strongly acid and acid reaction are settled by phytocoenoses of Diantho-Armerietum elongatae and Diplotaxi tenuifoliae-Agropyretum repentis associations and also by the community of Helichrysum arenarium and Hieracium pilosella. The considered objects, i.e. the pits remaining after the exploitation of aggregates, constitute a valuable natural area. A lot of plant communities occur in a small ecologically differentiated area.

Proporcje składników mineralnych w roślinach uprawianych na glebach pobagiennych nawożonych cynkiem i miedzią
(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2013) Jarnuszewski, Grzegorz; Meller, Edward; Zakład Gleboznawstwa, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie; Zakład Gleboznawstwa, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie
In pot experiments the influence of Zn and Cu fertilisation on the yield quantity and quality of the plants grown on the muck taken from 2 post-bog soils: peat-muck soil and mineral- muck soil on lucustrine chalk, was compared. The experiments were conducted in the years 2000–2002 and each year the pots were filled with a new muck material. The main crop included: maize (2000), spring barley (2001), spring wheat (2002); and aftercrop: mustard (2000), rape (2001) and oats (2002). Zinc dose was 18 mg Zn kg–1 soil dry matter and copper – 9 mg Cu kg–1 soil dry matter. Macro- and microelement content in plants afforded to calculate ion proportions of: K : Ca, K : Mg, K : [Ca + Mg] and weight proportions of Ca : P and Fe : Mn. A significant positive relationship was found between: the yield of maize, spring barley, rape, oats and the Ca:P ratio; and significantly negative between the yield of maize, barley, rape, oats and the K : [Ca + Mg] ratio. These studies show that the majority of plants grown on both kinds of post-bog soils are characterised by cation proportions departing from the optimum values for fodder or plant growth and development. The ratios of K : Ca, K : Mg and K : [Ca + Mg] were most often too narrow and Ca : Mg, Ca : P, Fe : Mn -too wide. The plants from mineral-muck soil on lacustrine chalk had wider ratios of K : Ca, K : Mg, K : [Ca + Mg], Fe : Mn, and narrower the Ca : P ratio in comparison with the plants grown on peat-muck soil. The Ca : P ratio was even in crops from both kinds of soil. Zinc and copper fertilisation resulted in narrowing the ratio of K : Ca, K : Mg and K : [Ca + Mg] in main crop; and widening in: mustard, rape and oats.

Wpływ zróżnicowanego nawożenia azotowego i herbicydu Starane 250 EC na zawartość ADL i popiołu surowego w runi łąkowej
(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2013) Jankowska, Jolanta; Pracownia Agrometeorologii i Podstaw Melioracji, Uniwersytet Przyrodniczo-Humanistyczny w Siedlcach
The aim of the three-year experiment was to evaluate the action of Starane 250 EC herbicide and different levels of nitrogen fertilization on the content of ADL and crude ash in the sward. The field experiment was established on a permanent meadow in April 2007 in śelków in the system of randomized block with three replications. In the experiment, two research factors were used. The first experimental factor was varied fertilization (34% ammonium nitrate) in the amount of A1 – 0 kg · ha–1, A2 – 90 kg · ha–1, A3 – 180 kg · ha–1 and A4 – 270 kg · ha–1. As an another the research factor was Starane 250 EC herbicide, applied at four concentrations (B1 – 0 dose, B2 – half dose, B3 – 1 dose, B4 – 3/2 dose by the instruction). The results were evaluated statistically using the analysis of variance for two-factors experiments. The mean differentiation was verified by Tukey’s test at the significance level p ≤ 0.05. Studies have shown that the content of both the examined factors in the feed was variable in the years and depended both on the concentration of Starane 250 EC as well as on the applied nitrogen dose. The best digestibility, and also the lowest ADL content had the feed from the object where the nitrogen dose 180 kg · ha–1 and 1/2 Starane 250 th herbicide concentration was used.

(Wydawnictwo Uczelniane Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie, 2013) Chudecka, Justyna; Zakład Rekultywacji i Chemii Środowiska, Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie
In work were presented of total content of Zn, Cu, Pb and salinity (measured as electric conductivity) of soil humus horizon (0–30 cm) of green areas from the city of Szczecin. Soil properties were analyzed according to distance from busy Słowackiego and Wojska Polskiego Streets. It was found that salinity and content of metals in soils decreased with increasing distance from roadway. Road deposits caused a clear increase of salinity in the soil located to 12 m from road edge but it was not achieve the level of 2 mS · cm–1, considered as serious salinity. The investigated soils were most contaminated by lead. In the zone up to 7 m from road, content of this metal shown medium pollution (IIIº) and amount more than permissible acc. polish legislation. Zinc and copper were accumulated on the levels of increased content (Iº) and weak pollution (IIº) but not having exceeded acceptable levels. Among studied urban green areas, the most saline and polluted by metals was the object surrounded by four busy streets, which resulted in the cumulative impact of transport deposits.
