In der mikrobiologischen Methode bediente man sich eines Pilzes aus der Klasse Ascomycetes Aspergilus var.Tiegh., bei dem der Zuwachs an Mycelium - Masse auf einem bestimmten Nührmedium untersucht wurde. Die Ergebnisse sowohl der einen, wie der anderen Methode decken sich in hohem Maasse.Comparative quantitative investigations concerning the potassium contents in systemic body fluids (urine, blood, milk etc.) have been made. The photometric and the microbiological methods were used respectively. With the latter a fungus of the Aconycetes Aspergilus var.Tiegh has been used. The gain of mycelium-matter on a definite medium has been studied.
