On the faith of the Michajlow formula, the author has carried aut the analysis of the effect of the standard conditions of the shell plating vaviness of ships from Polish, French and other yards. It has been proved that from the economical point of view the problem should be taken into consideration nowadays when the prices -of fuel are so high. Formulas being practical criterions of the estimation of the admissible plate panel Reformations from the ship operating view - point have been proposed. The results of the analysis are aimed at shipowners and shipyards. The author calls the readers particular attention to the fact of the absence of an exhaustive analysis of the interaction of the wind propeller with a hull. He treats ot the usefulnes of both undertaking initial operations and beginning investigations tending towards obtaining the velocity characteristics of a yacht. In this connexion, their displacement and launching often forces the builder to apply some specific technic facilities, among others grease. The testing was carried out on the steel rope type T 6 x 39 x Ao with the diameter of 36 mm in the range of static loads up to 200 kN and dynamic ones up to 300 kN. The second part of the communication comprises basic formulations of the theory of calculation of dynamic forces in a curvilinear tie (hydrodynamic thrust effect) in the conditions of kinematic harmonic driving forces coused by the rolling of a ship. Zakład Technicznego Zabezpieczenia OkrętówThe fire resistance of a fire door depends on, among others, the kind of used insulation which affects the increase in temperature on the surface of the door, determined by testing the construction in a fire furnace. The paper 1 presents the results of testings of the insulating power of various types of insulation of fire door leafs. The basic component of the insulation was mineral Wool Rockwool Firebatts 110 kg/m3. The results, of the testings evidences the existance of a relationship between the time of fire resistance and the manner of the arrangement of wool fibres in relation to the door teaf surface. This many a time gives rise to an incorrect determination of the dimensions of the eiejnents of the system. This also causes an increase in the investment outlay and in operating costs as tiie energetistic efficiency of the system decreases. The paper presents in detail the effect of slight changes in the resistance of flow on the capacity and the efficiency of a refrigerating system. The frequency of defrosting mainly depends on humidity and temperature at which the cooler operates. The degree of frosting of the heat transfer surface decisively affects the energetistic efficiency of defrosting. Instytut OkrętowyThe effect of the filling gas on the ignition capacity of the H2 - O2 mixture has been examined. The calculations have been made basing on the theory of the thermic ignition - the Lewis and Elbe criterion. The results of the calculations shows that an increase in the quantity of hydrogen and helium in a mixture of and O2 influences on the increase in the ignition energy more so, and an increase in the quantity of neon and steam influences less so. On the other hand the attendance of xenon and krypton decreases considerably the ignition energy of the H2 - O2 mixture. The results of the investigation indicate that adapting the filling gas to the method of ignition of the mixture is possible.
